preserves, and endures.

The selection standard, custody protocols, ten fields, and the full operating calendar from 2024 to 2130.

Selection Standard

Chosen for lasting impact,
not current fame.

CIBOOK does not select participants based on celebrity, social following, or media visibility. Selection is based on one criterion: lasting impact, work that will be studied, referenced, and built upon long after the present moment has passed.

Each participant must have made a verifiable, significant contribution to their field. The test is direct: will this person's name be known in 2130? If that requires extended explanation, the answer is probably no.

CIBOOK maintains geographic, cultural, and disciplinary balance across its 1,000 participants. The archive is designed to represent the full range of human achievement, not any single region, culture, or tradition.

Step 01
Identification
Candidates are identified through field research, peer recommendation, and institutional review. Candidates do not self-nominate.
Step 02
Verification
Each candidate's contribution is verified against the lasting-impact standard. Geographic and disciplinary balance is assessed across the archive.
Step 03
Invitation
A formal invitation is issued. Participation is entirely voluntary. Candidates may decline without explanation.
Step 04
Agreement
Participant signs a formal Participation Agreement governing rights, custody, withdrawal, data protection, and the terms of the 2130 release.
Step 05
Submission & Sealing
Prediction and portrait are submitted and immediately sealed. No further access is granted to anyone.

The Ten Fields

Each carries a permanent capacity limit. When full, it closes.

CIBOOK is established by DECA MEDIA. Governance structure, legal framework, and participation agreements are formalized. Recruitment begins.

Active Recruitment
9 participants confirmed across 4 fields. Recruitment continues toward 1,000. The archive grows one invitation at a time.
2030
Burial Event · New York City
CIBOOK is formally sealed and buried in New York City. One permanent archival-grade volume is entrusted to a recognized cultural institution. The withdrawal window closes permanently.
2030–2130
Century of Custody
DECA MEDIA and its successor custodians maintain the archive under the terms of the original agreements. No access. No editing. No revision. The seal holds.
2130
The Opening
CIBOOK is unsealed. All 1,000 contributions — predictions and portraits — are released to the world exactly as submitted, exactly as sealed. One century of silence, ended.
